a fellow human
with quite
an obsession!

this would be mine

How amazing collections come about

Image
Usually
my most successful collections
come about
when I have a
themed obsession

There is normally
only 1 during
5 month cycle

This cycle
determines
all my decisions
grocery shopping
gifts
color choices
supplies
ebay searches
research
applied techniques
contacts
music
philosophy
hair color
brooches

Now not only do I have a main obsession
but
TWO
side obsessions

Main obsession

18th century goodness

shells
iridescence
powder
irregular scallops
Grey hair
glass trinkets
black glossy ink
curled feathers
curls
spirals

Side obsession 1
Masks
animals
18th century
1930 die cut
see through

Side obsession 2
Moons
sparkly pins
gold
silver
faces

I'm terribly depressed
these obsessions
have to wait
and
possibly
disappear forever

My education
is
slowly
killing me

Weekend full of fashion

Image
I went to the De Young museum and listened to
Candace Kling
she talked about
the historyof manipulating
fabric
and
ribbons
which consists of
pleats
folds
rushing
gathering
bows
flowers
and
in her case
candy and chocolate
ribbon techniques

The next room over was filled with
New Zealand
weaving techniques
that really excited me

I then went to an Eco friendly fashion
show/vendor event
These were my favorites:

and me

black net hat with velvet mask
and heart appliques
beloved snake belt
fox brooch obsession
nude 1930's dress

On to other fashion adventures...
